Patio Railing

Slideshow Gallery with Vertical Thumbnails
This railing started as a basic design and evolved throughout our journey with the customers finishing in a unique piece with character flowing throughout. Notably, the top rail was completely forged out to give a tactile experience along the piece with the organic flow of the leaves being supported by seamless metal collars.
We started this project with a site visit which allowed us to talk to the customers and get a feel for the space and what was possible. The main aims for this railing were to make sure that it didn’t impose on the patio space and to allow plenty of visibility through the metalwork. With this in mind we had the posts installed over the edge of the patio to give the illusion of a floating railing. We also kept the decorative bars to a one in three spacing so as to not impede on the view of the garden below.
